Any Founder/CEO building a new category of software product will empathise. Marketing is tougher when you can’t say you’re a better version of X. Sometimes the lack of direct competition is a downside.
We were delighted at being awarded Best Origination Solution 2024 at the PE Wire Awards last November, but the category naturally merges us with the pack. A more accurate category award would be “Best Top of Funnel data integration platform”.
We are not a data source or a standalone origination platform. We partner with great providers in this category like Sourcescrub, Valu8 and S&P’s CapIQ.
We are not a CRM. We integrate and enhance the implementations of Salesforce, DealCloud and exciting emerging CRM players like List Alpha.
We are a whitelabelled platform that plugs into the tech stack of a PE and provides the database schema and tools for them to accumulate their own proprietary database on their top-of-funnel, unifying all their external and internal data on the market and automating the way they track and originate.
We are all aware that data is the fuel for AI, but what does that mean specifically for PE? Building an in-house database on your addressable market means you accumulate the fuel to train your AI, so we are building the PE’s very own data and AI asset that will give them competitive advantage for years to come. Being AI-future proof is vital as the pace of tech evolution has never been faster.
Prominent PE thought-leaders recognise that alpha can only be achieved by bringing data in-house and training your unique scores in the market and giving your dealmakers an edge in joining the dots and building insightful relationships with founders with whom they want to invest or run a transaction with.
In the top 5% of PE, they are already building their top-of-funnel datalake thought-leaders. EQT have invested millions into their Motherbrain, ECI have built a sophisticated internal platform called Amplifind. Some PE have turned to consultancies to build them a top-of-funnel data engine.
But we’ve been doing this for 8 years. Bottled into our Syfter platform is the data engineering for every PE firm to accumulate their very own top-of-funnel database, layer in their secret sauce and start gaining alpha on the competition.
